【Chlorophyll-a concentration】
Chlorophyll-a concentration can be obtained from Level 2 IWPR products. Observation data is only in the daytime. Depending on the observation area, the resolution of IWPR products is 250m and 1km. Since the estimated value is affected by the characteristics of the color of water (optical characteristics of dissolved substances and suspended particles), the error may be large between the ocean and the inland water because optical characteristics are different, but it is considered that IWPR products are available qualitatively (magnitude relation).
【Sea Surface Temperature】Sea Surface temperature can be obtained from SST products. Observation data is created for both the daytime and the nighttime. Depending on the observation area, the resolution of SST products is 250m and 1km. Since there is almost no difference in the optical characteristics between the ocean and lakes, it is considered to be usable (except for peculiar conditions such as an atmospheric inversion layer near the surface of the earth). Also, if the light from the land area affects the water area pixels, it will not be possible to make a correct estimation, so it is necessary to be careful about the range of several pixels from the shore.
