Product differences (Standard/Near-Realtime)

Shikisai products consist of the Standard Product (Global: SG) and the Near-Realtime Product, which prioritizes timeliness (Global: SN / Japan area: SL).
The Standard Product (SG) prioritizes data accuracy and is provided approximately 1–2 days after observation. In contrast, the Near-Realtime Product prioritizes timeliness over accuracy. It is provided approximately 6 hours after observation and is available only for 7 days.
Near-Realtime products are available from the following sources:

Near-Realtime products are available from the following sources:
- G-Portal Provides two types of data: global and Japan area in HDF5 format. Available via SFTP.
- JASMES Provides near real-time products for the Japan area in netCDF format (JASMES user registration is required).
