    What is the difference between aerosol products?
    A
    1. There are two types, NP aerosols (non-polarization) and PL aerosols (polarization) as SGLI aerosols products.
    2. Both are available, however, if you should select, we recommend using NP aerosol. (Note 1)
    3. Both can be provided from G-Portal, this is 8km grid data.
    4. NP aerosol can be provided from JASMES. this is 5km grid data (land and sea). (Note 2)
    5. Possible to get JPG images from JASMES. Aerosols data by MODIS (5km grid) are available too. (Note 3)
    1. Difficult to use PL data unless you are an expert who understands the properties of aerosol and polarized light. We usually recommend using NP data that has less noise and is cleaner.
